Tucked in nature in Priorat, La Mandorla is a little piece of heaven facing the mountains of the Monsant.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What started as a project to build a self sufficient family life, turned into a sustainable nature center where Anoushka and her family welcome kids, teens and families during camp season and on weekends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the summer time, La Mandorla turns into a sleepover summer camp or “colonia” where kids and teens ages 5-14 bond over a shared living experience, discovering an authentic way of life, in complete harmony with nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During 5 days and 5 nights, they sleep in yurts, take care of the animals, build treehouses, pick seasonal fruits, practice martial arts, enjoy various arts and crafts and manual activities, and once a week take part in an outing in the nearby Siurana river.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through these activities, students learn about nature, its cycles, wildlife and the elements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kids returning from La Mandorla Summer Camp feel highly energised from experiencing a unique life adventure. They loved the feeling of freedom and can’t wait to go back the following summer!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The founder, Anouchka, is originally from the mountainous Savoie region, in France. She worked as a primary school teacher for 8 years before moving to Spain 15 years ago. She is also a mom of 3 girls, a nature lover and a “wild child” at heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
